I grew up up eating whatever my mother fixed us -- she opened cans and boxes and we thought it was good food. But it wasn't her fault -- that's what everyone did back then. I was a hippie after I moved out on my own, and one of the greatest things from that lifestyle was discovering natural foods! It was all new to me, and I was totally blown away by the amazing flavors of fresh organic vegetables and fruits. Not to mention how great I felt!!
I raised my kids on natural unprocessed foods, a lot of it homegrown in my back yard, and I even ground my own flour for breads from wheat berries, in my Vitamix! We were almost never sick, they didn't suffer from all the "typical" childhood illnesses my friends' kids had.
Years later I was diagnosed with cancer, in the late 1990s, and I turned to 100% raw foods for over a year to help my body recover. I still eat mostly raw, along with a variety of grass fed organic meats. In the midst of all that I found a church and turned to Jesus, and so my life was forever changed.
Holistic wellness encompasses all of our being, our body, mind and spirit. What this looks like is unique to each of us and it includes every part of our lives from infancy and childhood on throughout our adult years. As we seek a healthier lifestyle we often find ourselves stumbling over obstacles and barriers, and sometimes it feels like it might be impossible to make it through.
But it's not impossible at all.
As an Integrative Health Coach, I can be a support and guide to you as you work towards your own goals of holistic healthy living.
IIN teaches the concept of bioindividuality - the idea that each of us is unique, that there is no one-size-fits-all, that what works for one person might not necessarily be helpful to another, and that each of us truly is the Master of our own Destiny.
Together we can explore possibilities that come from your heart and mind and soul, possibilities that resonate with you, possibilities that may not even be in your mind right now!
The Health History is you telling about you.
As you move through your own story, you can talk about what's most important for you as you explore healing and wellness.
